A hooded figure seen from behind, head turned, wearing a cropped jacket covered in looping white line over wide shorts and tall boots, drawn in greyscale on white
The same figure from directly behind in a peaked cap, the jacket back filled with a single looping white line that resolves into a face, over wide printed trousers

A figure seen from the front in a beanie and bomber jacket, an eye drawn in white line at the centre of the chest, with a waist chain and heavy laced boots

Fashion concept illustration

A hooded figure seen from behind, turned just far enough to catch the light on the face. The jacket carries the same looping line that runs through the garment studies, and the whole drawing holds to greyscale.

Three plates of one idea. The second takes the same figure straight from the back so the line on the jacket can be read whole, and the third turns it to the front and puts the eye at the centre of the chest. The front and back of a garment are two different drawings, and the line has to survive both.

What the film shows

A silent time-lapse, thirty seconds. It opens on the finished drawing, then goes back to almost nothing: a capped head alone on white. Figures are sketched and reworked before one settles, a hooded figure seen from behind in a cropped jacket, wide shorts and tall boots. The outline is loose and open at first, then blocked in solid black, and the looping white line across the jacket is added at the very end, over work that was already finished without it.

A hooded figure built the way a garment is: silhouette first, then the weight of the cloth, and the surface pattern last.
